How I Coach

As your life coach, I will encourage you to be self-reflective and honest with yourself through questioning. I will listen to your story and discuss your goals, motivate you to change habits that have restricted your growth, and celebrate each moment of success along the way.

Having experienced so many life lessons myself, I have great understanding of most situations and how difficult it is to take that initial step to break away and struggle through adversity. I am proof that it can be done. Whatever stage you are at and whatever journey you are on, I will be there to support you and cheer you on. I will actively listen and help you to discover what is within you to make positive transformations, find your path, follow your dream, live your best life, and be transformed and fulfilled. Remember, you have all the answers within!

I will get to know you as a person.

I will listen to your story and discuss your goals.

I will encourage you to be self-reflective and honest with yourself.

I will pose open questions.

I will encourage and motivate you to act with confidence and challenge limiting beliefs.

I will be non-judgemental and unconditionally supportive of any steps you choose to take.

I will set you homework to move you forward to hold you accountable to me.

I will celebrate your success as you make positive changes.

Quiet the mind and the soul will speak.

Things To Know About My Coaching

  • Authenticity: I will send you a form to complete which will give me a brief outline of who you are and what your beliefs and values are.
  • Listening: I will listen carefully to your responses so that I can help you piece together what might be preventing you from following your personal journey. It might be a habit, a limiting belief or not living with healthy boundaries.
  • Goals: I will set personal goals that will be realistic and measurable. They will be essential for personal growth.
  • Questions: As coaches we ask questions. You might not have thought to ask yourself these questions. They will help you to think deeply about your situation and why you are feeling dissatisfied. You will look inside yourself and think about what is holding you back; what direction you want to follow; what emerges as your authentic self; how you can lead a healthier and happier life.
  • Challenge: I will challenge anything that prevents you from moving forward, such as a lack of self-care or people pleasing.
  • Encouragement: I will be with you every step of the way to motivate and ensure that you feel confident about your next steps.
  • Homework: Homework will be given after each session to support your journey. It will relate to the session.
  • Celebration: I will always acknowledge any changes/steps you have made. The best reward will be seeing a happier, more fulfilled person who has found their unique quality and who is using it for good.

Spirituality

Being spiritual can mean different things to different people.  In general, it includes a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, and it typically involves a search for meaning in life.  It can be expressed in the simplest of ways: a simple heart-felt prayer, an appreciation of the beauty of nature in our amazing world, the miracle of a new-born baby or the perfect tenor voice of Andre Bocelli which causes me to cry every time I hear him sing.

Our spiritual needs are sometimes neglected as we strive to meet our basic needs.  Coaching gives you the opportunity to think about what might be missing: abandoned dreams, connecting with the community, giving something back, having a purpose in life, leaving a legacy, and feeling at one with the world.

Neuroscience

A life coach works in the business of neuroplasticity (the brain`s ability to change and modify in response to life experience) and neuroscience (how people think).  Neuropathways send signals from one part of the brain to another, rather like a road network system.  We have habitual ways of working, our truths and habits - the wide, automated, popular roads.  These frames are easy to navigate, and we tend to stay in them.  To make a change in your life will require creating new neural pathways, addressing life-long habits, environmental influences, and social conditioning.  We have templates that dominate our lives but these can be unlocked by the questions of a life coach.  Then you are on the path to embracing your unique self.
